Our Relationships with God, our self and others aren’t always what we want them to be. We might feel stuck in our relationship with God; there may be recurring sin in our lives. We relate to others in unhealthy ways; we’ve been hurt and we continue to hurt others. Our habitual sin or addictions cause ourselves pain; it grieves God and hurts those around us. For those inside the church these issues result in guilt and shame; some give up believing that this is just the way things will always be. For those outside the church it is often a feeling of hopelessness and despair. Freedom Session focuses on healing, wholeness and health, and provides practical tools to help us to continue to walk in freedom from those things that entangle us and weigh us down.
What is Freedom Session Like?
Freedom Session is a 20 week journey leading us to face the truth about ourselves, our lives and the destructive relational patterns we use to protect our hearts. A typical Freedom Session evening begins with everyone gathering around tables to watch a 40 minute video teaching together. After the video there is a brief snack break and then participants break into gender specific small groups to process the teaching and reflect the personal work they have done between meetings. Watch the video below to sample some of the sights and sounds of Freedom Session.
Freedom Session is a place to:
- Connect with others who share your pain and struggles
- Find healing, be heard and be loved
- Grow in emotional awareness and spiritual maturity

Who is Freedom Session For?
Freedom Session is for anyone who wishes to live the examined life, willing to take an honest look at the sin and pain in their lives. Freedom Session deals with issues—like pornography, broken marriages, sexual woundedness and abuse, addiction—by freeing us from our “drugs of choice”—the things we use to attempt to escape the pain in our lives. Freedom Session is for anyone looking to grow in their emotional, spiritual and relational maturity. Watch the video below to see the founder of Freedom Session, Ken Dyck, talk about who Freedom Session is for.
