Summer Arts Camp

Imagine That Arts Camp

The mission of the Imagine That Arts Camp is to offer quality arts instruction to kids in our community. We want to encourage interest in the arts by providing an opportunity for children to be mentored by artists active in their field.

NEW! Dates for 2021: July 19-23 and August 9-13

The 2021 Imagine That Arts Camp at Cedar Park Church in Delta, BC will run for two weeks in the summer, from 9am till 12:30pm each day. This year, we will offer classes for children who have completed Kindergarten to those who have completed Grade 5.

Registration will open in late May. Due to COVID restrictions, Imagine That spots are limited, so we recommend you register early in order to reserve your spot and preferred classes.

Cost

The cost of the camp is $120 per child for your first two children

Additional children in your family can attend the Imagine That Arts Camp for free. If you know a child that would love to attend, but the cost is a barrier, please contact our office. Talk with Pastor Megan Simpson about applying for a bursary.

Classes

This year we will again offer two sessions; however, campers will choose between two ‘packages’ of classes so that children remain in their respective cohorts. Our online registration process will show you which classes are available. The class sizes are limited to 8 participants for 2021. Classes will fill up quickly after registration opens!

  • Session 1             9:00am – 10:30am
  • Snack Break      10:30am – 11:00am
  • Session 2           11:00am – 12:30pm

Kindergarten to Grade 2 are in one stream and Grade 3 to Grade 5 are in the second stream. The instruction is tailored to the age group.

Our snack break in the middle of the morning is a highlight for many of the campers. Everyone heads out into the sunshine and the church grounds become a huge play area. Groups will be assigned a specific area to eat and engage in different socially distanced games and activities.

Supported by Dedicated Staff and Volunteers

Our staff at Cedar Park Church provide the administrative support to make the Imagine That Arts Camp a success year after year. All of our instructors and volunteers require a criminal record check. Each class has several adults working together so that your children have a wonderful week.

This year the kids will showcase what they have accomplished and learned during their week via a digital celebration event.
