From May 25th-28th, a group will march from Songhees territory in Victoria to the Kinder Morgan terminal on Tsleil-Waututh territory in Burnaby to show our support for and solidarity with the 22 municipalities, 59 First Nations and hundreds of thousands of British Columbians who oppose the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain expansion. The mobilization will include info workshops, ceremony, reconciliation/talking circles and nightly entertainment. Allies are encouraged to make the entire journey or to join for any portion of the walk they can. Participants are welcome to walk, run, bike, roller-blade,  skateboard, paddle or use wheelchairs – any human-powered, ecologically-sound mode of transportation is welcome. Ladner United is hosting this group Friday night May 26th and will let us know if Cedar Park can assist with billeting Elders or joining for a talking circle. Feel free to register for part of the walk or check the website for information related to special events

  1. Ladner United Church will be hosting this group for the night on Friday, May 26th. Rev. Jim Short has extended an invitation to Cedar Park that if 5 or 6 people would like to come to join the group for dinner on the 26th at 6:00pm or for breakfast Sat. morning at 7am.

  2. I would be interested in joining the group for dinner on Friday evening….anyone else like to join me?

  3. I would like to go but Deanna is out of town and I don’t think it would work to take a couple of kids. Enjoy!

  4. Rhonda has expressed interest to me in going to join the group for dinner.
